In Paths to a personal training, participants will focus on an actor’s basic training, linking traditional disciplines and theatre principles like scores, repetition, codes, organicity and rhythm, discovering the difference between movement and action, and working on composition, flow, opposition, balance and energy.
Specific contents: training principles, balance between body/mind and emotion; work with pleasure, respiratory awareness and active relaxation; work with the spine and going out of balance; focus, resistance and sustaining effort; dialogue between the different aspects of an individual; the levels and directions of the body, space and time.
Participants will explore different ways of jumping, spinning and moving in space, using silence, different music, songs and texts to work with their voice. This will create a space for participants to share concerns and broaden their references in discovering their own personal training.
Participant’s Requirements: Participants should not have physical lesions. No experience required. Comfortable clothing, neutral and without patterns. Change of clothes. Notebook and pencil. Memorised text of twenty lines and two songs.
