The lecture is about being involved in a traffic accident, surviving, although handicapped and the struggle of getting your life back.
The lecture lasts approx. 45 minutes,
after which it will be possible to ask questions.
Simon Jensen faced a serious traffic accident while still in primary school. With the accident, he suffered an extensive brain injury.
In this lecture he tells about the struggled of getting his life back after the accident and how he has managed to create an almost normal existence. In short, Simon's story is about how life takes shape for a person who has become disabled due to a brain injury.
For Simon it was a matter of believing that nothing is impossible, and he is in fact giving this lecture in order to convey to others this optimism and to allow us the possibility of becoming more aware of what it means to be disabled.
As a child, young Simon moved from school to school. He took a two year practical course at Holstebro Friskole, and then the basic course at the School of Social Health, followed by a year and a half of studying at VUC (Adult Education Centre), where he passed his exams in Danish - level A, Psychology - level C and Social Studies - level C.
